"This is the Senior Officer's Conference Lounge on deck 2.   Just a place for the Senior Officers to get together and discuss their projects with their teams without disturbing the bridge crew, and far away from the prying eyes of the Command Staff  Officer's.  This is often a busy place with so many crewman on the ship, and the Senior Officer's make good use it."

The Conference Lounge serves many of the same purposes of the Observations Lounge.  The main difference is that the Conference Lounges is intended for the use of the Senior Officer's below the Captain and Executive Officer.  It's main purpose is as a location for the Department Chief's to meet with their staff's to discuss individual projects rather than ship-wide projects.

Located on deck 2, almost directly below the Observation Lounge, the Conference Lounge is appointed similarly but in a more utilitarian fashion.  A long table adorns the center of the room with additional chairs to allow full departments meetings, a viewscreen at either end, and several personal monitors at each position on the table.
