"You can tell a lot about a Captain by how they furnish this room.  In Captain Storal's case, well lit, light colors and pastels, rather elegant, yet comfortable."

"Now how about we take a look at where Captain Storal will hold briefingss with his full Senior Staff. On to the Observation Lounge located on the opposite of Deck one from the Captain's Ready Room."

ready_001.jpg (33158 bytes)The ready room on the standard Federation Starship sits off the bridge and serves as the primary office space for the Commanding Officer of the ship or station. In this capacity, it generally contains all the comforts of a small living space and often is appointed to fit the status of the officer residing in it.

The Ready Room is often used as a small conference area for the most senior officers to speak to the Commanding Officer.   Further, it is often used in smallready_002.jpg (33058 bytes) diplomatic functions as a private area to discuss matters.  The most recent version of the Standard Starfleet Bridge Module provide for a considerably larger Ready Room than did previous versions.  The Ready Room now has taken on the shape of a small conference area with attached space for meals and a large sitting area than was previously allowed.
